A classic Speysider in its most traditional style of sherry maturation: an example of perfect balance between the character of the cask and of the malt. At the nose, it has a very autumnal aroma of candied oranges, fresh biscuits, and a delicate nuttiness. In the mouth, it strikes with the gentle balance of all its components: it has a sweet palette of apricots, dried raisins, oranges and nuts but without ever becoming a fruit bomb, and it is compensated by a not evidently winey and never astringent dryness. It then becomes very mineral, with the right amount of very elegant oak. Yes, classic and elegant are the keywords: a rich and rewarding malt which doesn’t try to push too much in one single direction at once.
