Heavily peated, with a particularly tarry, maritime and pungent note of smoke both at nose and palate, it also has a rich round body and juicy malty sweetness, with all the complexity that comes from the influence of the finest oak casks. Liquorice root, peanuts, ripe bananas, and a very medicinal overtone are just some of the elements that keep the whisky intriguing after the initial blast of peat.
