Our flowery and aromatic Pinot Grigio grappa from Pilzer in Trentino sees a new version, with a distinctive new twist. This new release spent 36 months in casks previously used for peated Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky: twice the maturation of the previous edition. The extra time spent in oak casks clearly shows, with a more marked sweetness, peppery character and smokiness. It seems more robust and rounded, while remaining as fragrant and perfumed as ever. The lovely notes of rose petals, geranium, almonds and medicinal herbs offer an incredibly sophisticated bouquet, and the pleasantness at nose and palate is particularly attractive to both hardcore grappa enthusiasts and those looking for a slightly feminine touch.
