Silver Medal at Malt Maniacs Awards 2011

After the highly successful bottling from the same vintage released a few months ago, we never hoped to find another cask of very old Bunnahabhain with the same elegance and balance. Well, we were wrong. This new bottling is almost a twin brother, every drop just as magnificent! The same creamy, fruity, smooth and honeyed character, the same luscious richness and freshness which is rare for a malt of more than 40 years. Maybe this new expression seems just a touch more rich on minty flavours, and maybe very slightly more tannic. But even the most experienced palates would find it hard to say which one is more stunning. If you missed the previous 1968 bottling, now you have another chance to grab one before it’s too late.
