A very natural Glen Keith, with just a hint of sherry influence due to the second fill casks, which stays fresh, vibrant and true to the spirit of the distillery. Slightly nutty, quite dry, and with a very nervous backbone, this is a tight and spicy malt. Fruitiness is not dominant, and consists mostly of orange blossoms and candied orange and red apple notes, with a hint of rose water. But the sweetness is soon balanced by a peppery note and spicy cinnamon fragrance. It is a most classically styled whisky, with no frills or dominating traits: just a wonderfully alive and balanced Speysider. Appetizing and meant to be savoured easily, it even accepts gracefully a couple of ice cubes in summer if that’s your fancy
