Thirty is the key number here. A very special bottling for our 30th Anniversary, of a Speyside malt which undertook a finish of 30 months in carefully chosen first fill Oloroso casks. The result is unmistakeably dominated by an old-fashioned sherry profile, with the wine wonderfully integrated with the whisky, giving life to unsurpassed depth, fragrance, and rich autumnal notes of chestnuts, raisins, tamarind, gingerbread biscuits. We are particularly proud of the classic juiciness of sherry maturation that we achieved at the palate: the winey dry character is well balanced by honey and raisins. There are also notes of oranges, earthy and herbal Pu-erh tea, beeswax and marzipan pastries. All very intense and concentrated. It becomes drier, more peppery and tannic, and slightly astringent only in the finale.
